Charminar is the most recognizable landmark of Hyderabad and one of India's finest examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. Built in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, it commemorates the founding of Hyderabad and is believed to mark the end of a devastating plague. Standing approximately 56 meters (184 ft) tall, the monument features four elegant minarets, intricate stucco work, balconies, arches, and a mosque on the upper floor. Surrounded by the bustling Laad Bazaar, traditional markets, and historic streets, Charminar is a favorite location for heritage photography, travel shoots, documentaries, fashion editorials, and commercial productions.
