Acceptance of terms
These terms govern your use of Nearest.in (https://nearest.in). By creating an account, submitting a listing, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
Description of service
Nearest.in is a discovery platform that connects photographers, filmmakers and creative teams with owners of locations and studios across India. We provide the listing, search, review and inquiry tools that make that connection possible.
We are not a party to any booking, rental or payment arrangement made between a photographer and a location owner. Any agreement about dates, pricing, access, or shoot terms is between those two parties directly.
Account registration
- You need an account to bookmark listings, write reviews, submit a listing, or send an inquiry.
- You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for anything that happens under your account.
- The information you provide when registering should be accurate and kept up to date.
- One account per person — don't create multiple accounts to get around limits or moderation.
Listing submissions
- If you submit a location or studio, you confirm you have the right to list it — as the owner, or with the owner's permission.
- Listing details (pricing, facilities, permissions, photos) should be accurate and kept current. Outdated or misleading listings may be removed.
- Every submission is reviewed before it goes live. We may decline a listing, or ask for changes, at our discretion.
- Editing a listing that's already live sends it back for a quick re-review before it's visible again — this keeps the review process meaningful.
- We may remove any listing that violates these terms, misrepresents the property, or is reported and found to be inaccurate.
User conduct
When using Nearest.in, you agree not to:
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading listings, reviews, or inquiries.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, including location owners or photographers you contact through the platform.
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract listing data for use outside the platform.
- Use the inquiry or contact system to send spam or unrelated promotional messages.
- Attempt to interfere with the platform's normal operation or bypass its security measures.
Bookings & payments
Right now, Nearest.in facilitates the introduction and inquiry between a photographer and a location owner — it does not process payments or hold a booking deposit. Any payment, deposit, cancellation policy or damage arrangement is agreed directly between the two parties, outside the platform. We're not responsible for disputes, no-shows, cancellations, or disagreements about pricing or access that arise from that arrangement.
Reviews
Reviews should reflect a genuine shoot experience at that location. We review submissions before they're published and may decline or remove a review that's fake, abusive, unrelated to the actual location, or violates these terms.
Intellectual property
You keep ownership of the photos and content you upload. By submitting them, you give Nearest.in a license to display them on the platform (and in reasonable promotional use of the platform itself, such as a homepage feature) for as long as your listing or content remains active. The Nearest.in name, logo, and site design are owned by us and may not be used without permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
The platform is provided "as is." We work to keep listing information accurate, but we don't guarantee that every detail — pricing, permissions, availability — is current or error-free at every moment, since much of it is provided directly by location owners. Always confirm key details directly with the owner before a shoot.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Nearest.in isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including losses related to a booking, shoot, or arrangement made with another user. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using Nearest.in and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, with or without notice, depending on the severity of the violation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of Nearest.in will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
