Chitrakote Falls is one of India's most spectacular natural attractions, located on the Indravati River in Bastar district. The waterfall spans approximately 300 metres (980 ft) in width and drops around 29 metres (95 ft), forming a magnificent horseshoe-shaped curtain of water. During the monsoon, the falls become dramatically wider and more powerful, while winter offers crystal-clear water and excellent visibility. The site is a popular destination for landscape photography, travel filmmaking, pre-wedding shoots, documentaries, and tourism. Visitors can also enjoy boating (subject to water levels), riverside viewpoints, gardens, and illuminated night views during peak tourist seasons.
