Nearest.in is an EV charging station discovery platform operated in India. We help electric vehicle owners find charging stations near them. You can contact us at hello@nearest.in.
We collect information you provide when registering (name, email, phone), information you submit when listing a charging station, usage data such as pages visited and searches made, location data when you use the "Near Me" feature (only with your permission), and reviews and ratings you submit.
We use your information to provide and improve our services, show you relevant charging stations based on your location, send transactional emails (account confirmation, station approval notifications), respond to your enquiries, and improve the accuracy of our station database.
We only access your location when you explicitly tap "Near Me" or grant permission. We do not store or share your precise location. Location is used solely to show nearby charging stations and is not retained after your session ends.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, email delivery). Station operators can see information you submit with a station listing request. We may disclose information if required by law.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
You can request access to your personal data, request correction or deletion of your data, withdraw consent for location access at any time in your browser settings, and delete your account by contacting us at hello@nearest.in.
We use industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), HTTPS encryption, and SQL injection prevention. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
